Future of Institutional Adoption

Tokenized real-world assets, the GENIUS Act stablecoin framework, the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, and what comes next for ETFs and TradFi-DeFi convergence.

13 min · advanced · part of Institutional Crypto: The Big Money Arrives

The Next Wave Has Already Started

If 2024 was the year of spot ETFs and 2025 was the year of tokenized treasuries finding product-market fit, 2026 is the year multiple structural threads converge. Tokenized real-world assets cleared $30 billion. The U.S. government became a Bitcoin holder. Stablecoin legislation moved from concept to live framework. ETF applications expanded to additional crypto assets. JPM Coin migrated to a public-permissioned blockchain backed by Goldman Sachs and BNP Paribas. This lesson covers each of those threads and the trajectories they imply. The themes are not hypothetical — every example here is a real product, a real piece of legislation, or a real disclosure. Where things remain uncertain, that uncertainty itself is a useful planning input.
