Kraken's Tempo Platform Now Supports USDT0 — Here's What That Means for Stablecoin Users
71d ago · 1 source
Kraken has enabled USDT0 deposits and withdrawals on its Tempo platform. USDT0 is an omnichain version of Tether's USDT stablecoin, designed to move seamlessly across multiple blockchain networks. This integration expands the ways users can move stablecoins in and out of Kraken's ecosystem.
WHY IT MATTERS
Think of regular USDT (Tether) like cash that only works in certain stores — if your money is on one blockchain (like Ethereum), you can't easily use it on another (like Arbitrum) without going through extra steps called 'bridging,' which can be slow, costly, and risky. USDT0 is like a universal version of that cash that works everywhere automatically. Kraken, one of the biggest crypto exchanges, now lets you deposit and withdraw this universal version through their Tempo feature. For everyday users, this means moving your stablecoins around becomes simpler and cheaper — you don't have to worry as much about which blockchain network you're using.
